Jim Alford Childress, 78, of Clanton, Alabama passed away at home, November 8, 2025, in Clanton, AL.
He was born July 30, 1947, in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late Horace Childress and the late Juanita Childress.
He was a man of many parts, and a logger at heart.
Surviving are his Wife, Carol Childress; Sons, Jim Young (Kristie) Childress, William Shane (Heather) Childress; Granddaughter, Katlyn Nichole Childress; Granddaughter, Madison (Ahmad) Edwards; Granddaughter, Harper S.F. Childress; Grandson, Maverick F. Barnett; Granddaughter, Farrah M. Jones; Grandson, Kacey Cleckler; Granddaughter, Darbie (Zach) Smith; Sisters, Loren C. Tennant, Faye (Douglass) Collins; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Horace Childress; Mother, Juanita Childress; Sister, Marilyn Cleckler.
Friends will be received Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mulberry Baptist Church.
Services will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 am. at Mulberry Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Mims and Rev. Mark Lovett officiating.
Interment will follow in Mulberry Baptist Cemetery, Maplesville, Alabama.
