He was born December 12, 1947, in Alabama, son of the late Arthur Mims and the late Leila Mims.
Surviving are his Cousin, Randy (Misty) Payton, Cousin, Kendall Payton.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Arthur Lee Mims, Mother, Leila Earlene Mims, Brother, Donald Mims.
