Jimmy Wayne Payton

Jimmy Wayne Payton, 70, of Clanton, Alabama passed away on January 24, 2025, in Clanton, Alabama.

He was born on February 17, 1954, in Selma, Alabama, and was the son of the late James Payton and the late Joyce Payton.

He was a Warehouse Supervisor for Central Alabama Electric Cooperative. He loved hunting, fishing, and racecars.

Surviving are his Son, Jimmy Bradley (Karin) Payton; Girlfriend, Michelle Johnson; Sisters, Peggy Cox, Joann  Headley, and Jenny Sumrall; Grandson, Reece Payton; Granddaughters, Hollis Ann Payton and Layna Payton; Special Friends, Bradley Sherrill and Cameron Sherrill.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, James Alvin Payton and Joyce Payton.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 1:00 P.M to 2:00 P.M at Martin Funeral Home in the Chapel.

Services will be held on, January 28, 2025, at 2:00 P.M at Martin Funeral Home in the Chapel with Pastor Wes Kelley officiating.

Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Cancer Society.
