Joe Douglas Mims, 73, of Verbena died Monday, December 6, 2010. He was born on Saturday, July 3, 1937 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Odis Lee Mims and the late Dovie Mae Adams Mims. He was a Sheet Metal Worker. Surviving are his 2 Daughters, Charlene Mims (Tom Clemons) of Prattville, AL, Kennetha Mims (Morris) Wilson of Verbena, AL; 5 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Patricia Mims of Clanton, AL; 2 Brothers, Wendell Mims of Clanton, AL, Mike Mims of Clanton, AL. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Willie Dean Mims. Friends will be received from 5-8, Thursday, December 9, 2010 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Friday, December 10, 2010, at 1:00 P.M.. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Christensen officiating.
