John W. Barefield, 83, of Verbena died Saturday, December 26, 2015. He was born on Wednesday, February 3, 1932 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Leamon O. Barefield and the late Ola Turner Barefield. He was a Foreman for U.S. Pipe & Foundry. Surviving are Wife, Pat Barefield; Sons, Don (Angie) Mims, Jon (Lori) Barefield; Daughters, Felicia (James) Edwards, Glenda Rhodes; Granddaughters, Becky Mims, Shelli James, Ashley Caffee, Kayla Richards, Carolina Barefield; Grandsons, John Clark Barefield, Ryan Rhodes, Russ Rhodes. Friends will be received from 12-1, Monday, December 28, 2015 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, December 28, 2015, at 1:00 P.M. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Mike Allums officiating.
