John Henry Burnett, 79, of Jemison, Alabama passed away December 8, 2023, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.
He was born March 5, 1944, in Alabama, son of Luther Burnett and Ethel Burnett.
He was retired from the Alabama National Guard.
Surviving are his Wife, Jackie Burnett; Sisters, Linda (Larry) Bussie and Debra (John) Kee; Brothers, Kelly (Nina) Burnett and Paul (Linda) Burnett; Uncle & Brother-in-law, Wayne (Janie) Robinson; Nephew, Rodney Robinson; GodFather to Mason Hadden; Special Nephew & Niece, Brady, Breanna, and Michael Mims; Host of Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Luther Burnett; Mother, Ethel Burnett; Brothers, Thomas Burnett and Jim Burnett; Sisters, Karen Barr and Darlene Burnett.
Friends will be received Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pates Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Pates Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Mims, Rev. Gary Jones, and Rev. William Kee officiating.
Interment will follow in Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery, Jemison, Alabama with Military Honors.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Robinson, Brady Mims, Michael Mims, Elton Horton, Johnny Mack Hayes, and Kenneth Hayes.
