John W. Chaffin, 82, of Jemison died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at his residence in Jemison. He was born on Wednesday, January 20, 1932 in Lamar Co., Alabama, Son of the late Burl Chaffin and the late Tezzie Finch Chaffin. He was a retired Truck Driver. Surviving are Wife, Joan R. Chaffin of Jemison, AL; Daughter, Deanna Speakman of Jemison, AL; Granddaughters, Shalone Shupiery & Shannon Boykin Hamilton; 4 Great-Grandchildren; Chyenne Boykin, Grant, Kaylee & Gavin Shupiery. Friends will be received from 12-1 pm, Monday, October 27, 2014 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral Services following at 1:00 pm. Rev. Rex Kent will be officiating. Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing. You may leave online condolences for the family on our website.
