John Thomas Chastain, 95, of Billingsley, Alabama passed away on December 29, 2024, at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was born on April 21, 1929, in Billingsley, Alabama, and was the son of the late Hugh Chastain and the late Dorothy Chastain.
He retired as a Shift Engineer at Transcontinental Pipeline Pumping Station in Billingsley, Alabama after working as a Service Crew Member at Transcontinental Pipeline.
Surviving are his Sons, Mike (Edith) Chastain, Mark Chastain, and Stephen Ray Chastain; 8 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; 1 Niece; 1 Nephew; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Hugh Chastain; Mother, Dorothy Chastain; Daughter-in-law, Janet Beth Chastain; Wife, Virgina Chastain; Previous Wife, Dorothy Chastain; and Son, Paul Chastain.
Friends will be received on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 2:30 P.M to 3:00 P.M at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church in Billingsley, Alabama.
Services will be held on, January 2, 2025, at 3:00 P.M at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church with Brother David Awtrey.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Methodist Cemetery, Billingsley, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Brian Chastain, Matthew Chastain, Zach Chastain, Brayden Chastain, Wyatt Smith, and Gary Jones.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cemetery Fund at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, P.O Box 132 Billingsley, Alabama 36006.
