John Dewey "J.D." Manning (Singing Cowboy), 80, of Clanton died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Bethany House, Opelika. He was born on Wednesday, November 14, 1934 in Alabama, Son of the late John Henry Manning and the late Alice Wainwright Manning. He was a Machinist. Surviving are his Sons, John Michael (Elaine) Manning of Opelika, AL, Jeffery Lee Manning of Clanton, AL; Grandchildren, John Zachary Manning, Ansley Manning, Sara Jimmerson, Mattie Jimmerson, Olivia Jimmerson. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Dorothy Nell Manning. Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Martin Chapel. Services will be held Monday, April 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Rusty Sowell and Rev. Greg Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Clanton, AL.
