Alabama, Daughter of the late Hoyt Sims and the late Lula Harris Sims. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are her Husband, Mr. Mason A. Phillips of Clanton, AL; Son, Mr. Bob Carter of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Mrs. Debra Cavender of Heflin, AL; Step-son, Mr. Allan Phillips of Picayune, MS, Mr. Bruce Phillips of Clanton, AL; Step-daughter, Ms. Cindy Phillips of Clanton, AL, Mrs. Pat Wells of Summiton, AL; Brother, Mr. Coolidge Sims of Millbrook, AL; 14 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her First Husband, Mr. Palmer J. Carter and Son, Carlton Carter. Friends will be received from 5-8, Sunday, May 9, 2010 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Monday, May 10, 2010, at 2:00 P.M.. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Baptist Cem., Verbena, Alabama.
