Johnny Legusta Connell, 64, of Verbena died Monday, July 11, 2016 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. He was born on Wednesday, October 31, 1951 in Clanton, AL, Son of the late Napolean L. Connell and the late Irene Cleckler Connell. He was an auto mechanic. Surviving are his Sons, Jeremy (Tiffiney) Connell of Verbena, AL, Jody (Bridget) Connell of Maplesville, AL; Daughter, Julie (Steve) Brown of Verbena, AL; 10 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild; Sisters, Joyce (Charlie) Martin, Imagene (Wendall) Smitherman; Brothers, Joe (Elaine) Connell, Tony (Pam) Connell; A host of nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by his Sister, Shirley Connell. Friends will be received from 5-7, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God, Clanton, AL, with Rev. Mark Sasser officiating.
