He was born on Monday, November 2, 1942 in Shelby Co., Alabama, Son of the late Rufus Scott Scoggins and the late Sarah Louisa Brasher Scoggins. He was an Inspector with Alabama Gas Company. Surviving are his Wife, Marilyn C. Scoggins of Jemison, AL; Son, Michael S. (Richie) Scoggins of Thorsby, AL; 4 Daughters, Renea Benton of Columbiana, AL, Lisa (Keith) Welch of Jemison, AL, Janeice (David) Calhoun of Chelsea, AL, Karen (Kevin) Hayes of Jemison, AL; Sister-in-law, Betty Jean Scoggins of Prattville, AL; Sister-in-law, Eloise Cleckley; 12 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6-8, Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Friday, September 27, 2013, at 11:00 am. at Martin Chapel with Rev.
