Johnny Edwin Thacker, Sr., 82, of Jemison, Alabama passed away November 10, 2021 in Clanton, Alabama. He was born October 24, 1939 in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late John Thacker and the late Louise Crumpton Thacker. He was a Police Officer for 32 years for the city of Homewood, Alabama. Surviving are his Daughter, Sherri T. Lackey; Son, Johnny E. (Krystal) Thacker, Jr.; Granddaughters, Teresa D. Lackey, Jessica R. Erwin, Kellie (Neal) Glaze, Samantha L. Erwin, Kayla L. Ward, Holley L. Bryant, Tamera L. Thacker; Grandsons, Cameron A. Avery, Jesse Doyle Thacker, Jonathan M. Thacker; Ken Wallace and his Family; 12 Great-Granddaughters; 6 Great-Grandsons. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Ellie Thacker; Sister, Peggy Bush; Father, John Doyle Thacker; Mother, Louise Crumpton Thacker. Friends will be received Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. Services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Bro. David Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Cemetery.
