Joseph Dexter Cooedy

Joseph Dexter Cooedy, 27, of Verbena, Alabama passed away March 31, 2025, at St. Vincent's UAB in Birmingham, AL.

He was born February 26, 1998, in Montgomery, Alabama, son of Jason and Bridgette Cooedy.

He was loved by many. Anything you needed to know about Nascar or Alabama Crimson Tide football he knew it. Always the first one to make you smile or laugh. He loved his family and friends like no one else. He was always the first call when you needed anything done, from moving to feeding the dog. He made a mark on more lives than we will ever know. He will be loved and missed.

Surviving are his Mother, Bridgette Cooedy; Father, Marvin Jason Cooedy; Brother, Austin Cooedy; Grandfather, Barry Jones; Grandparents, Marvin & Debbie Cooedy; Uncles, Ben (Pam) Cleckler, Brian  (Raquel) Jones; and a host of loving cousins, great aunts, and great uncles.

He was preceded in death by his Nanny, Dixie Jones; Great-Grandparents, Richard & Betty Jones.

Friends will be received Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God with Rev. Jason Acreman and Rev. Mike Cleckler officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
