Joseph Francis Green

Joseph Francis Green, Born in Alabama on June 22, 1949, The first born son of James Levi and Lottie Frances Hale Green. After 26 years, Joe retired as an engineer from the Alabama Department of Transportation. He was an avid farmer and gardener all his life and greatly enjoyed the blessings of Gods creation. As a master craftsman, Joe shared his own creations with those around him. A long time member of Verbena First United Methodist Church, Joe was a servant to the Lord all those who knew him. His knowledge and wisdom will be greatley missed. Following 36 days at UAB Hospital in Birmingham Alabama, Joseph Francis Green was promoted to glory June, 2018. Surviving are Joe's wife of 38 years, Nancy Carmichael Green of Verbena, AL; Only child, Joseph Daniel Green (Amy Brown Green) of Samson, AL; Brother, Jimmy Green; Nephews, Joey (Melissa) Green, Randy (Faith) Green, Toby (Jennifer) Green, William (Connie) Agee, Matthew (Valerie) Sellers; Nieces, Virginia Agee, Catherine (Adam) Ball, Julie L. Sellers; Great-Nephews, Clay Green, Justin Green, Christian Agee, Mason Agee, Walker Ball. He was preceded in death by his Parents, James L. & Lottie Frances Hale Green, His only Sister, Mary Lee Green, Great-Niece, Anita Agee Taylor. Friends will be received from 12-2, Saturday, June 9, 2018 @ Verbena United Methodist Church. Services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Verbena United Methodist Church with Rev.
