He was born September 10, 1941 in Chilton County, son of Rufus Knotts and Jessie Simmons Knotts. He was a Retired Civil Engineer. Surviving are his Daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Maddox, Jessica (Andrew) Fayette; Son, Jody (Carol) Martin; 9 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; Mother, Jessie Knotts Simmons; Sister, Erma Nell Hardy; Brother, Randy Knotts. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Janet Mims Knotts; Father, Rufus Knotts. A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, AL.
