Joseph Jerome Pearce, 77, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 17, 2026. Born on September 5, 1948, in Colorado, Joseph was the beloved son of the late Nicholas Jasper and Vivian Pearce.
Joseph was a proud Staff Sergeant, whose service and commitments defined much of his life’s purpose. Throughout his years, he exemplified honor, dedication, and deep loyalty to his family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia L. Pearce, whose partnership and love stood as the cornerstone of his life. Joseph is also lovingly remembered by his sons, Joseph Paul Pearce and Ronald J. Pearce; grandchildren, Skyler J. Pearce, Desiree N. Wilson, Isabella F. Pearce, and Griffith A. Jones; brother-in-law, Carlos “Corky” T. Blair.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Jasper; his mother, Vivian A. Pearce; his beloved son, Andrew Charles Pearce; and his sister, Geraldine I. Vialpando.
A graveside service honoring Joseph’s life and service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama. The service will be directed by Martin Funeral Home.
His family invites all who knew Joseph to remember the man of strong character that he was. May his memory remain a blessing to all whose lives he touched.
