Serena Josephine McMillon, 90, of Clanton, Alabama passed away March 5, 2026, at her residence.
She was born April 11, 1935, in Montgomery, Alabama, daughter of the late John Smith and the late Flora Smith.
With grateful hearts for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who passed away at the age of 90. She was a woman whose life reflected her deep love for the Lord and a servant’s heart for others. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She found great joy in serving her church, faithfully working as the church custodian and caring for the house of God with dedication and pride. She also had a special place in her heart for the elderly in her community, often picking them up and bringing them to church so they could worship and fellowship together. Serving others brought her great happiness. She was known as a very hard worker who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Her strength, dedication, and commitment were evident in everything she did. Above all, she loved her family deeply. Her children were the joy of her life, and she cherished every moment with them. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh, bringing warmth and joy to those around her. Her legacy of faith, love, service, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a woman who faithfully served the Lord and cared for others with a joyful heart.
