Joyce Miller Townsend, 73, of Jemison, Alabama passed away June 5, 2026, at her residence in Jemison, AL.

She was born December 9, 1952, in Massachusetts, daughter of the late Harry Miller and the late Barbara James.

She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

Surviving are her Daughter, Angie (Johnny) Peters; Granddaughters, Amber (Joseph) Chandler, Briana (Cole) Corley; Sisters, Betty (John) Giacomello, Joeanne (Paul) St. John; Brothers, Joe (May) James, William "PeeWee" (Cindy) James, John (Jennifer) James, Clyde (Stephanie) James, Tommy (Christy) James; Great-Granddaughters, Marissa Minor, Ellery Corley, Lakelynn Chandler; Great-Grandson, Masen Minor; Brothers-in-law, Joe Mark Maddox, Billy (Carolyn) Maddox, Keith (Cheryl) Maddox; Sister-in-law, Jean Townsend; Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Harry Miller; Mother, Barbara James; Husband, Jeff Townsend; Step-Father, Joseph Rodgers James; Brother-in-law, Mack Townsend; and Sister, Janet Pettek,

Friends will be received Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside Services will be held , June 9, 2026, at 1:00 pm. at Midway Memorial Gardens with Associate Pastor Chris Walton officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison, Alabama.
