Joyce Glass Williams

Joyce Glass Williams, 91, of Clanton, Alabama passed away July 23, 2025, at her residence in Clanton, AL.

She was born October 11, 1933, in Verbena, Alabama, daughter of Julius Hardy and Sydney Hardy.

She was a secretary for Chilton County Board of Education.

Joyce was a member of the Clanton First Baptist Church for 79 years. She was a very faithful member and had numerous friends in her church family. She enjoyed singing in the church choir for nearly 50 years.

Surviving are her daughter Donna (Quinton) Traywick, grandson Corey Traywick, dranddaughter Carmen (Kent) Michael, grandson Josh (Tabitha) Dobbs, great-grandchildren Walter, Frances, and Margaret Michael, great-grandson Brayden Dobbs, niece Ruth (Dale) Bolton, stepson Henry (Suzanne) Williams, and stepdaughter Judy (Harry) Hale.

She was preceded in death by her father Julius Hardy, mother Sydney Hardy, husband Douglas Glass, husband Cecil Williams, daughter Danita Woods, infant twin daughters, and siblings Olive Boyd, Clarence Hardy, Ford Hardy, and Robbie Powers.

Friends will be received Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Clanton First Baptist Church.

Services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11:00 am. at Clanton First Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Nelson and Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery beside her husband Douglas and her infant twins.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and the nurses that took wonderful care of Joyce.
