Julius W. (Bud) Hughes, 82, of Gallion, Alabama passed away July 6, 2023, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was born February 13, 1941, in Clanton, Alabama, son of the late Julius Harmon Hughes and the late Annie Floyd Head.
Bud was a United States Army Veteran and a sheet metal mechanic. He was a member of the Cowboy Church of the Prairie in Uniontown, Alabama.
Surviving are his Daughter, Terrie (Randal) Taylor; Son, Randall Hughes; Grandsons, John (Marsha) Taylor, William Taylor, Terry (Dawne) Taylor; 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson; Sisters, Iella Vance, Betty (Ray) Russell, Edith (Michael) Seymour; Numerous Nephews, Nieces, and Great Nephew and Great Nieces.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Julius Harmon Hughes; Mother, Annie Floyd Head; Grandson, Nickolas Taylor; Sisters, Eudora Pastirak, Lennie Hathcock; Brother, Clyde Hughes; Great Great-Grandson, Kolby Cash.
A Celebration of Life service will be on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Cowboy Church of the Prairie in Uniontown, Alabama.
Friends will be received Monday, July 10, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 10, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Mt. Springs Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
