On March 17, 2020, June Elizabeth Garner went to walk with the angels. She was 73 years old. June was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth Garner. Along with her parents, Annie Augusta Martin and Hueston James (“H. J.”) Martin, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving Sons, Robert Daniel Lawrence and Kenneth Ray Lawrence; Daughters, Tammi Garner Crandall and Pam Garner Tillery (Mike); Two brothers, Elbert Martin and Robert Martin (Billie); Six grandchildren and Six great-grandchildren. She was a proud member of Providence Baptist Church. She was a dedicated professional in a time when women were not commonplace in the workforce. She instilled an incredible work ethic in her children and was a great source of inspiration to her grandchildren. June retired from Standard Machine after a career of more than 20 years. She was a testament to resiliency, and through adversity, built a happy, beautiful life. June was a devoted wife and mother. She had an indomitable spirit, a quick, kind smile, and a joyful laugh that filled the room. She loved an Olive Garden margarita, a good pair of pumps, and big costume jewelry. A Graveside Service will be held at Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. for immediate family only.
