June Handley Lowrey, 80, of Jemison died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at her home. She was born on Friday, December 21, 1934 in Alabama, Daughter of the late Raymond Handley and the late Irene Haigler Handley. She was a Teacher and a member of First Baptist Church of Jemison. Surviving are her Son, Drew (Janet) Lowrey of Jemison, AL; Daughter, LeAnne (Mark Knight) Childress of Jemison, AL; Grandchildren, Heather Ogle of Ohatchee, AL, Matt Dickerson of Anniston, AL, Candace Fricke of Jemison, AL, Kristopher Lowrey of Tuscaloosa, AL, Trenton Lowrey of Jemison, AL, Alyssa Childress of Mobile, AL, Alyson Childress of Troy, AL, Forrest Knight of Florence, AL, Abbi Knight of Clanton, AL; Brother, Larry (Kathy) Cobb of Jemison, AL; 6 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Kent Lowrey; Daughter, Kathy Dickerson. Friends will be received from 2-3 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. David Hand officiating. Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison, AL.
