Kathryn McGee Cates, 94, of Maplesville, Alabama passed away July 3, 2021 at her residence. She was born May 17, 1927 in Bibb County, Alabama, daughter of P. J. Waldrop and Jessie Gibson Waldrop. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her Son, Jimmy (Janice) McGee, Daughter, Ann (David) Hayes, Son, Horace (Betty) McGee, Daughter, Carol (Bud) Mott, Daughter, Betty (Chad) Brewer, Numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Pallbearers: Chad McHugh, Richard Brown, Michael Sellers, Kevin Williams, Cliff Williams, Neil Posey, Ryan Piper, Brandon Horton, Rusty Pody, Ross Hudak and Mac Higginbotham. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Horace McGee; Husband, Arlington B. Cates; Siblings, Lee Waldrop, Mellie Mae Brown, J. P. Waldrop; Father, P. J. Waldrop; Mother, Jessie Gibson Waldrop. Friends will be received Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. Services will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Rasberry and Rev. Zack Bates officiating.
