Katie H. Lindsey

Katie H. Lindsey, 87, of Clanton, Alabama passed away August 19, 2023 at her residence.

She was born November 12, 1935, in Elmore, Alabama, daughter of the late Franklin Head and the late Lula Head.

She was a Seamstress at Prattville Apparel and Patsy's Pins & Needles.  She was a strong independent single mother that raised six children

on her own. Katie loved her Lord and was member at Walnut Creek Church.

Surviving are her Daughter, Debbie Payton, Daughter, Cissy Jones, Son, Ray (Kala) Monfee, Son, Lee (Michelle) Monfee, Son, John (Belinda) Scott, 16 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Franklin E. Head, Mother, Lula Head, Step-Mother, Mildred Head, Sister, Dot Pruitt, Son, Tommy Monfee, Son-in-Law, Donald Payton, Daughter-In-Law, Lisa Monfee.

Friends will be received Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Walnut Creek Church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Walnut Creek Church with Rev. Tony Hughes officiating.

Interment will follow in Ross Cemetery, 244-350 Ross Rd., Deatsville, AL 36022.

Pallbearers will be Ray Monfee, Lee Monfee, Cory Monfee, Shannon Monfee, John Scott, and Michael Littlefield.
