Kay Albee Fox

Kay Albee Fox March 25,1953 - November 5, 2020 Kay Albee Fox passed away peacefully at Select Specialty Hospital in Homewood, Alabama, last Thursday. A graduate of Homewood High School and enthusiastic Atlanta Braves fan, she is survived by her husband of 25 years, Alexander F. Fox, her brother Rev. Stuart Albee (Libby) of Pidgeon Forge TN, her mother-in-law Joann Fox, brother-in-law Thomas Fox (Patricia) and Arthur J. Fox, III, all of Birmingham, and nieces and nephews. An ardent dog lover, Kay raised Labrador Retrievers and enjoyed the company of a large pack, while also working at Wal-Mart for 23 years. Kay and Alex devoted much of their time to the Alabama Republican Party. Kay served on the State of Executive Committee of the party, and attended six Republican National Conventions, five times as an alternate delegate. She also served on the county of committees for Shelby and Chilton counties. Kay found great joy in nature, photographing Lake Mitchell and its wildlife from her home there; she was especially fond of cardinals and hummingbirds. She also was accomplished in needlepoint, cross stitch and knitting. Her family is grateful to the doctors, nurses, therapists, and staff of Select Specialty Hospital for their loving care during Kay's four-month stay. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Clanton, Alabama. Service will be held Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
