Kenneth Barry Ellison, Sr.

Kenneth Barry Ellison, 74, of Jemison, Alabama passed away peacefully on May 27, 2022 surrounded by family and friends.

He was born October 19, 1947 in Chilton County, Alabama. His family moved to Mobile, Alabama where he graduated from Satsuma High School in 1966. Following high school Barry enlisted in the United States Navy where he served on the Saratoga and Lexington during the Vietnam Era. After the Navy, Barry worked for Alabama Power as a Machine Mechanic until retiring.

He is preceded in death by Eligie Ellison (Father), Frances Varden (Mother) and Charlotte Pierce Lister (Sister)

He is survived by his Wife of 51 Years, Delaine Ellison; Sons,  Kenneth Ellison Jr. (Angela), Jacob Ellison (Lindi), Jeremy Ellison; Grandchildren, Kayleigh-Marie Hyatt (Kenneth), Gabriel Ellison (McKenzie), Carter Ellison, Brynlee Ellison, Andrew Ellison, Brody Ellison, Anna Hazen; Great-Grandchildren, Tillie and Jessamine.

Friends will be received Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Herbie Gray and Rev. Thurman Cleckler officiating.

Interment will follow at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.

Pallbearers include Mike Price, Larry Headley, Jamie Ray, Chant Ray, Jackie McDaniel and Scott Robbins.
