Larry Leon Culpepper, age 84, of Clanton, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on April 21, 2026. Born on August 3, 1941, in Clanton, Alabama, he was the beloved son of the late Luther and Eunice Culpepper.

Larry was a 1959 graduate of Chilton County High School and dedicated his career to serving others as a Store Manager for Watson's Department Store and Bennett's Department Store for a combined total of 50 Years. A lifetime member of Clanton First Baptist Church, he faithfully served as Deacon for 50 years. Larry was an active member of Clanton Lions Club and served on the Clanton Housing Authority Board of Directors from 2007- 2023. He was deeply cherished by his family and community for his kindness, integrity, and unwavering commitment to others.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Julia Culpepper; his son, Britt Culpepper, and daughter-in-law Debbie; his daughter, Claudia Culpepper Miller, and son-in-law Chris; as well as his grandchildren, Cannon Miller and Britlee Claire Culpepper; and his step-grandchildren, Kelcie (Justin) Hoyle, Dylan Knowles, and Bella Knowles. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Leon Culpepper; mother, Eunice Edwards Culpepper; and his granddaughter, Caydee Grace Miller.

Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Larry’s life on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Clanton First Baptist Church, with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Justin Nelson. Interment will take place afterward at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Clanton First Baptist Church and members of the Clanton Lions Club.
