He was born on Wednesday, September 1, 1948 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Amos Jones and Margaret Sims Beckers. He was a Machinist. Surviving are his Wife, Peggy Jones; Son, Matthew (Melissa) Jones; Daughter, Michele (Phil) Perdue; 3 Step-daughters, Regina Mims, Tracey (Chris) Jackson, Christy Varden; 14 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild; Mother, Margaret Beckers; Sister, Dorothy (Ronnie) Baker. He was preceded in death by his Father, Amos Jones. Son, Bryan Jones and Brother, Jimmy Jones. Friends will be received from 6-8, Thursday, January 5, 2011 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Friday, January 6, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rosco Kornegay officiating. Interment will follow in Providence #2 Baptist Cemetery, .
