Larry D. Owens, 65, of Clanton died Monday, June 18, 2018. He was born on Tuesday, June 2, 1953 in Alabama, Son of the late James Matthew Owens and the late Elizabeth Deramus Owens. He was in construction. Surviving are his Daughter, Christy Owens; Son, Larry Wayne (Vanessa) Owens; Sisters, Ann (James) Burnette, Sharon Willis; Granddaughters, Britney (Stephen) Shaw, Alexis Owens, Taylor Owens, Payton Owens; Grandsons, Brandon Chapman, Tyler (Katie) Owens; Great-Granddaughter, Abigail Shaw, Reagan Owens; Great-Grandson, Braden Shaw. He was preceded in death by his Parents, James Matthew & Elizabeth Owens; Brothers, James Melvin (Dink) Owens, Marty C. Owens; Nephew, Bruce W. Willis, Jr. Friends will be received from 5-7, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 @ Martin Chapel. Services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Martin Chapel with Rev. William Earl Short officiating. Interment will follow in New Cedron, Billingsley, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
