Larry Joseph Penton, 73, of Verbena, Alabama passed away July 28, 2026, at his residence in Verbena, AL.

He was born September 2, 1952, in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late Abner Penton and the late Thelma Penton.

He was a Maintenance Man with Union Camp/International Paper. He loved his family and friends.

Surviving are his Wife, Janice Leverette Penton; Daughters, Shea Penton, Amanda (Chris Carr) Penton; Son, Larry Scott (Rachell) Penton; Grandsons, Austin Penton, Wendell Foshee, III; Granddaughters, Courtney Penton,

Samantha Foshee.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Abner Joseph Penton; Mother, Thelma Mae Penton; Sister, Mary Nell Culpepper.

Friends will be received Monday, August 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Verbena Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Verbena Methodist Church with Rev. Jody Hill officiating.

Interment will follow in Verbena Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
