Lawrence Olden Freeman

Lawrence Freeman, 83, went to God peacefully on Sunday, July 18th. Larry, as everyone called him, was born in Virginia to Laurence and Alice Freeman. He spent 26 years in the US Air Force and served as a courier in the communications squadron during the Vietnam war. He also served with the federal government for 20 years with the now inactivated 42nd Civil Engineering Squadron at Maxwell AFB. Larry was known as “The Dealer” because he always got things done. He is survived by his loving wife Sudi Smith Freeman; Daughter, Carol Freeman (Angel) Rivera; Son, Douglas (Angela) Freeman; Step-Son, Robert Lee (Terra Lee) Smith; Step-Daughter, Robin Smith (Harvey) Bowden; Sister, Bessie Freeman Grigsby, Marilyn Porter (Hugh) Price; Brothers, Robert Freeman, Donald (Shirley) Porter; Sister-in-law, Geraldine Freeman; Grandsons, G.L. Rivera, Brian (Cameryn) Rivera; Granddaughters, Candace Rivera, Helonna Freeman, Caria Freeman; Step-Grandsons, Douglas (Malia) Rountree, Dominique DuPree, Brian (Jennifer) Smith, Brandon Smith; Step-Granddaughters, Sudie Rountree (Denis) Whalen, Stephanie Smith; Great-Granddaughter, Graciela Rivera, Dove Rivera; Great-Grandson, Roman Rivera, Eli Rivera; Host of Step-Great Grandchildren, Host of Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Helen Freeman, brothers Milton, Dudley, and Oscar. Martin Funeral Home directing.
