Lela DeVaughn Powell, 91, of Clanton died Friday, January 28, 2011 at Chilton Medical Center, Clanton. She was born on Sunday, October 26, 1919 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Daughter of the late James F. DeVaughn and the late Minnie Williams DeVaughn. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are A Host of Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Vastene Powell and Infant Daughter, Shirley Maxine Powell. Friends will be received from 5-8, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Martin Chapel. Services will be held Sunday, January 30, 2011, at 3:00 pm. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Doug Powell officiating. Interment will follow in New Cedron Cemetery, Billingsley, AL.
