Leona Porter Scott, 92, of Jemison died Thursday, April 4, 2013. She was born on Wednesday, August 11, 1920 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Walter Porter and the late Mary Ann Ellison Porter. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are Daughters, Kay Jean Scott, Doris Jean Farris, Barbara Jackson; Sisters, Betty Ann Wesson, Jewel D. Ray, Lorene Ellison; Brother, Glenn Porter; 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Jim Scott and a Great Granchild. Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, April 5, 2013 at Pates Chapel Baptist Church. Services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at Pates Chapel Baptist with Rev. Randall Mims and Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Pates Chapel Baptist Cem., Jemison, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
