Lillie Ruth Smitherman, 74, of Maplesville, Alabama passed away April 25, 2022 at her residence in Maplesville, Alabama.

She was born June 25, 1947 in Clanton, Alabama, daughter of the late William C. Smitherman and the late Ellar Mae Braswell.

She was retired from International Paper.

Surviving are her Daughters, Sandra (David) Pate and Marie (Johnny) Burnett; Grandchildren, Adam (Candis) Pate, Matthew Pate, Mason (Keely) Pate, Lauren Burnett, Rena (Josh) Caudle, Joey (Haley) Burnett and Josh Burnett; Fourteen Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Inamae (Wayne) Scott; Brother, Johnny (Linda) Smitherman; Sister-In-Law, Shirley Smitherman Wallace; Special Nieces, Lisa (Terry) Cofer and Jennifer Wood; Furbabies, Little Spot, Devil, Nippy, Pig, Tux and Wendy.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Hiram Mills; Father, William C. Smitherman; Mother, Ellar Mae Braswell; Brother, Howard (Ruth) Hammond, Sister, Pat (Bryant) Freemon, Brother, Allen Smitherman, Brother, Calvin Smitherman, Sister, Willie C. Bush, Brother, Charles E. Smitherman, Brother, William (Louise) Smitherman, Grandson, Alan Burnett.

Friends will be received Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist #2 Church.

Services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist #2 Church with Bro. Dennis Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel #2 Baptist Cemetery, Maplesville, Alabama.
