Obituary

Lillie Faye Traywick, 80, of Billingsley, Alabama passed away July 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 26, 1945, in Chilton County, Alabama, daughter of the late William Bernice Wilkins and the late Lala "Lady" Mae Wilkins.

She was the heart of her family and a truly devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest purpose in life was loving and caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took pride in being a homemaker, providing the best and loving atmosphere for her family. She also dedicated many years as the mail carrier for the Billingsley Post Office. A career that she took great pride in, while serving her community and building lasting friendships along her route. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the greatest blessings of her life, and there was nothing that brought her more joy than spending precious time with them, watching them grow, and creating memories they would carry with them forever. She had a special gift of turning ordinary moments into cherished traditions and sharing her skills like gardening, baking, and cooking. She also delighted in watching hummingbirds flutter through her yard, casting a fishing line, shopping, sharing a meal out with her family at Longhorn Steakhouse. She simply loved life and her family, and the moments spent beside her will forever be treasured and remembered with love.

Surviving are her Daughter, Karen (Manh) Dang; Son, Keith (Wendy) Traywick; Son-in-Law, Michael McGee; Grandchildren, Kaela (Derrick Moore) McGee, Emily (Stefan Henderson) Dang, Mark Dang, Blake Dang, Traywick (Erika Chelf) Dang, Hanah (Dustin) Stevens, Kaitlyn (Cody) Scott, Ethan Traywick; Brother, George Wilkins; Great-Grandchildren, Kai Henderson, Theo Henderson, Eli Moore, Micah Moore, Jett Stevens, Ella Jay Stevens, Brooks Scott, Banks Scott.

She was preceded in death by her Father, William Bernice Wilkins; Mother, Lala "Lady" Mae Wilkins; Husband, James Marion Traywick; Daughter, Kelly Traywick McGee; Brothers, William Charles Wilkins, James Wilkins.

Friends will be received Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 10-11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary at Billingsley Baptist Church, immediately followed by a graveside service and interment led by her son-in-law, Manh Dang.
