He was born on Tuesday, April 9, 1929 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Son of the late Matthew Minor and the late Blanchie Mae Easterling Minor. He was an Electrician. Surviving are Wife, Betty L. Minor of Clanton; Daughter, Phyllis "Bill" Tubbs of Clanton, AL; Son, Jeff Maddox of Clanton, AL; 3 Grandsons, Nathan (Lesley) Tubbs of Brooklyn, NY, Stephen Tubbs of Clanton, AL, Logan Maddox of Clanton, AL; 3 Granddaughters, Rachel Tubbs of Clanton, AL, Vanessa (Jimmy) Sanders of Clanton, AL, Maci Maddox of Clanton, AL; Great Granddaughter, Sophia Tubbs of Brooklyn, NY; Great Grandson, Caleb Tubbs of Brooklyn, NY. He was preceded in death by his Son, Garry Minor and Daughter, Sheryl M. Calfee. Friends will be received from 12:30-2:00 pm, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Concord Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Rev. Nathan W. Tubbs and Randall Mims will officiate.
