Lois Irene Courtney, 96, of Verbena died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Hatley Health Care, Clanton. She was born on Monday, November 6, 1916 in Chilton Co,. AL, Daughter of the late Dr. Jeremiah Petty Jones and the late Sarah Alabama Logan Jones. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are her Son, Kenneth (Hazel) Boswell of Verbena, AL; Step daughter, Ruth (Donald) Graham of Clanton, AL; 2 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, A host of Great-Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, W.M. "Mack" Boswell, Husband, T.B. "Tom" Courtney and Stepson, Ralph Courtney. Friends will be received from 5-8, Sunday, November 25, 2012 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Monday, November 26, 2012, at 11:00 A.M.. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Christensen officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Bapt. Cem., Verbena, AL . Martin Funeral Home directing.
