Lois Blalock Mims Lois Blalock Mims, 87, of Clanton died Sunday, June 17, 2012. She was born January 17, 1925 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Charlie Blalock and the late Pearl Little. She was a homemaker and generous, devoted helper to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving family: daughters Glenda Mims of Clanton and Marsha Troy (Jay) of Boise, Idaho; brothers Herschel Blalock (Lois) and Howard Blalock (Betty); special god-grandchildren Mark Smith (Sheryl and children Tiffany and Drew) and Aimee Dobbs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Huben Mims; brother, Houston Blalock and sister, Lucille Kelley. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. on Monday, June 18 at Martin Funeral Home. Services are at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19 at Bethsalem Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Eubank and Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
