Lougene Simmons Driver

Lougene Simmons Driver, 90, of Clanton, Alabama passed away July 8, 2023, at her residence in Clanton, Alabama.

She was born October 29, 1932, in Clanton, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late James Simmons and the late Rinnie Simmons.

She was a plant worker at Keystone and worked on the family farm. She and her late husband were also members of Victory Baptist Church in Jemison, Alabama.

Surviving are her Son, Charles (Sonja) Driver; Daughters, Janice (Jerry) Dawson, Sandra (Mark) Knox and Barbara Minor; Eight Grandchildren; Numerous Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Dorothy McCormack; Brother, Johnny Simmons; and a host of other family.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Charles Vastine Driver; Father, James Alvin Simmons; Mother, Rinnie Elizabeth Simmons; Grandson, Mark Minor; Son-in-Law, Erskin Minor; Four Brothers.

Friends will be received Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery, Thorsby, Alabama.
