Louis "L.D." Douglas WATLEY, 72, of Jemison died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Friday, August 20, 1937 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Son of the late Ollis Watley and the late Junie McCary Watley. He was a Construction Supervisor. Surviving are his Wife, Mrs. Joyce Watley of Jemison, AL; Son, Mr. Douglas (Edith) Watley of Jemison, AL; 2 Daughters, Mrs. Kathy Hilyer of Jemison, AL, Mrs. Peggy (Joe) Baker of Clanton, AL; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 5-8, Sunday, January 24, 2010. Services will be held Monday, January 25, 2010, at 2:00PM. at Pates Chapel Baptist with Rev. Clint Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery, Thorsby, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
