Mack D. Tillery, 79, of Clanton passed away on August 26, 2026. Mack and his best girl Donna lived for a brief time in Birmingham and then Prattville early in their marriage, and have since been lifelong Chilton County residents. After graduating from Jemison High School, he worked various jobs before going to work in the family business, Weldon Paint & Carpet. Mack retired from Williams Gas Pipeline where his engineer brain moved him from a glorified ditch digger into management at the Billingsley substation. He was also involved in the planning and oversight of many new pipeline stations. Mack was a deacon at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He spent his “free” time riding or working on John Deere tractors of various sizes. He was always doting on his wife and enjoying Alabama football, the beach and most of all his family. Mack had a quiet demeanor, a wicked sense of humor and a big ole heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Flossie Tillery, siblings Danny Tillery, Peggy Tillery, Jack (Denise) Tillery, and his grandson and wife Dylan and Kelsie Davis. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna W. Tillery, children Michelle (Anthony) Davis, Kristie (Brad) Searcy, grandchildren Dawson Davis, Kaleb Searcy and Owen Searcy.
