Mrs. Marie Mills Hitchcock Mrs. Hitchcock, 72, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, the 21st of May 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born the 24th of October 1942 in Calera, Alabama, a daughter of the late Milton Clyde Mills and Margie Pearl Porter Mills. She had worked as a bookkeeper and administrative work for a number of years. Her greatest joy in life was being a dedicated, wife, mother and grandmother. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm from Providence Baptist Church #1 with Rev. Gene Hitchcock officiating. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Mitchell Hitchcock; her three children: Randall Hitchcock, Carolyn Knott and Tony Hitchcock; two brothers: Gary Mills and Bill Whitson; eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
