Marilyn Sue Scoggins

Marilyn Sue Scoggins, 70, of Jemison, Alabama passed away August 13, 2024, at  Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama.

She was born October 22, 1953, in Alabama, daughter of the late George Cleckley and the late Katherine Dickson.

She was a Secretary at Jemison Elementary.

Surviving are her Daughter, Karen (Kevin) Hayes; Step-daughters, Renae Benton, Lisa (Keith) Welch and Janeice (David) Calhoun; Step-son, Mike (Richie) Scoggins; Grandchildren, Colin, Carson, James, John, Casey, Shannon, Jessica, Bailey, Kalep, Britney, Micheal and Robin; Brother, Bret (Crystal) Cleckley; and a Host of Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Johnny Burl Scoggins; Father, George Cleckley, Jr.; Mother, Katherine Nadine Dickson; Sister, Eloise Cleckley.

Friends will be received Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Cemetery, Jemison, Alabama.
