Martha Burt Horton

A funeral service for Mrs. Martha Lee Burt Horton, 67, of Columbia, will be held at 11 o'clock Monday, December 8, in the Chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Clanton, Alabama. The Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Sunday evening at Martin Funeral Home. Mrs. Horton died December 3, 2008. Born October 9, 1941, in Charleston, SC, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Lucille Shields Burt. She attended the Holiness Church of Maplesville, Alabama during her residence there. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Robert Horton; step-daughter, Diane (Gerald) Blume; son, R. D. Horton, Jr.; daughters, Shirley Ann Howell, Margaret Marie Fluitt; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
