Martha Ann Mims, 79, of Verbena died Monday, September 16, 2013 at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, January 3, 1934 in Elmore Co., AL, Daughter of the late Ab Strength and the late Betty Blankenship Strength. She was a Furniture Carver. Surviving are her Daughter, Mrs. Debby (Steven) Raymond; Sons, Mr. Wade (Charlene) Shields, Mr. Hershell (Deborah) Mims, Mr. Frank "BoBo" (Lisa) Mims; 10 Grandchildren; 21 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Mrs. Mable Jean Dennison; Sisters-in-Law, Mrs. Rexine Strength, Mrs. Reba Strength. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Mr. Leonard "Mickey" Mims; Daughter, Mrs. Gloria Sparks; Grandson, Mr. Paul Sparks; Parents, Ab & Betty Strength; 2 Sisters; 5 Brothers. Friends will be received from 5-8, Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Providence #2 Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Lawrence and Rev. Glenn Bonds officiating.
