Marty T. Carter

Marty T. Carter, 61, of Clanton went to his final resting place on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Tuesday, June 19, 1956 in Chilton Co., AL., Son of the late R.T. Carter and Sarah Kimble Carter. He a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and father-in-law. Marty proudly spent 30+ years as an engineer with Norfolk Southern Railroad. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are Mother, Kimble Carter; Sons, Phillip (Jennifer) Carter, Randall (Amanda) Carter, Sammy (Nikki) Carter; Daughter, Kimberly (Craig) Carter Glenn; Grandchildren, Kahne, Etta Cate, Kole, Wyatt, Khloe Carter, Carter Glenn; Special Companion, Linda Mims. He was preceded in death by his Father, R.T. Carter and Brother, Wayne Carter. Friends will be received from 5-7, Sunday, March 11, [emailprotected] Martin Chapel. Services will be held Monday, March 12, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Phillip Rush officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Mausoleum, Clanton, Alabama.
