Marvin R. Atchison, Jr. 70, of Trussville died Friday, June 1, 2012. He was born on Wednesday, March 4, 1942 in Alabama, Son of the late Marvin R. Atchison and the late Lucille Stough Atchison. He was in the Air Force for eight years and retired from Bell South Telecommunications in 2003. Surviving are his Special Friend & Caregiver, Norma Meeks of Trussville, AL; 3 Daughters, Lisa (Keith) Compton of Louisville, KY, Roxanne (Dwight) Sims of Pinson, AL, Donna Warren of Pinson, AL; Son, Russell Atchison of Warrior, AL; 6 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; 5 Brothers, Donald (Carol) Atchison of Maplesville, AL, Doyle (Sue) Atchison of Alabaster, AL, Joel (Hilda) Atchison of Maplesville, AL, Paul (Catherine) Atchison of Montgomery, AL, Eddie (Cecilia) Atchison of Jacksonville, FL; 3 Sisters, Shelby (Dwayne) Matchan of Cropwell, AL, Alice (Brooks) Burnette of Stanton, AL, Diann Atchison of Selma, AL. Preceded in death by his Brother, Howell Atchison and Sister, Francis Burt. Special thanks to hospice nurse Valerie Stanley and Dr. Lisle Nabell of UAB, Kirkland Clinic.
