James Marvis Martin, 88, of Clanton died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Charlton Place Rehabilitation & Healthcare, Deatsville. He was born on Saturday, December 27, 1930 in Alabama, Son of the late Isaac Marvin Martin and the late Sallie Ellison Martin. He was a carpenter. Surviving are his Daughter, Nedra Martin Wright (Lloyd); Son, Marty Frank Martin (Renee); Grandchildren, Wendy Clark, Jill Sharpe, Del Wright, Casey Martin; Great-Grandchildren, Tyler, Matt, Abbie, James, Ashlynn, Brody; Sister, Affie Martin. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Pearline Martin; Sister, Mary Frank Scott. Friends will be received from 1-2 pm , Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Bro. Tim Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
