Mary Joan Chaffin

Mary Joan Chaffin born on June 13, 1935, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2021 at age 85 at her residence in Jemison, Alabama. She passed peacefully dreaming about her loved ones that went before her husband, John Chaffin, son, Wesley Chaffin, daughter, Patricia Gwin, parents, Banks Hyde and Floralea Rector, sisters, Flora Banks Johnson, Doris Rector and Nellie Jean King. Remaining here are her daughter, Deanna (Danny), grandchildren, Shannon (Sam), Shalone (James), Stony (Valerie), great-grandchildren, Chyenne (Ronnie), Grant, Kaylee, Gavin, Branson, her beloved dog, Gypsy, who always stayed at her side, and a host of many others that love her. Mary is a retired banker. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, Alabama football and Braves baseball. Mary has always loved the Lord. In liue of flowers, help someone when you can in honor of Mary.
